A Woman Resembling Zhoonév

…Pahn has come into a home    He can see
momentarily     across the grey
                                                                                    faded blacktop
of the cul-de-sac to the house       where
he was raised and
across the room with its charcoal
couch full of people
and the film of light coming
                       through the dusty window

       Leaning down
between two people       he sees
              a dark-haired woman       resembling
Zhoonév       bending over       into the sitters
and as he stares at her      trying
to determine if it is Zhoonév
She looks up
and notices him paying attention to her

she continues her conversation and
he continues
to wonder if it is Zhoonév or
                        someone similar and
                        just as he decides
that she is not Zhoonév she
comes over to him to talk

 Now they are
at a bar and       as they make their way
through       the crowd
 along the counter       smiling
and talking                 she becomes
                                           more comfortable and confident
finally leaning up against him
and whispering
into his ear      almost nuzzling him

and he pulls away          knowing
that the family of Aiks is in the room and
                    he is embarrassed at her
seducing in their view
