Crossing the River

.
…over the alluvial fields
with willow
and grass plumes ..in the afternoon light
Pahn watching

they flutter

                                   upwind

by the clouded

                                   river
                                                          Aiks
and other redheads

                                in all sizes
                     of wings

with
                                   (Debussy’s)

          Harp
Viola

                        and Flute

they are crossing
easily
the unformed
water
.
