              reach himself
with his mouth
to enlarge
with his lungs
            to make himself
wider
 
                                                    In this aggrandizement
he knows
                         she’ll be interested

Saying nothing
            as he shows her

Quiet
as he feels

Fluid
               as he moves her

               pulling her
                               into the ocean
 
                           rising and falling
in the surf              
 
                        breathing
                       doubled
                        complacent
accepting
 
                        without landfall

                                                           she floats away
